My trip to London has been an absolute adventure even though I have yet to step foot in this city.
It is currently half past midnight as I am writing this post. My departure date was originally scheduled for Saturday May 9th which was the day after my last final; however, due to weather it got cancelled twice. After two days of waiting, my flight finally took off for Dallas Fort Worth. I was so excited to finally go on this trip and at the same time worried because the layover between my two flights was only an hour and twenty minutes. As I had thought, my first flight had a delay and I missed my connection flight to London. Now this would not have been as bad had the airline provided me with overnight accommodations and if the next available flight was not in the afternoon of the following day. The next earliest flight that departs for London is at 5:45 this morning, however, the airline says that it is full…Hopefully I can get on this flight and start this trip!
On a side note, I met a guy by the name of Alex that also missed the same flight to London due to the flight delay from Oklahoma City. We had dinner at Qdoba and now we are both trying to kill time until three or four to go to the gate and hopefully leave with the 5:45 flight.
I’m also glad that I don’t have to spend the night by myself in this empty airport. Look at it!
Update: It has been a few weeks since I have returned to the States. Unfortunately, I did not have much time to spend on the posts since my stay was quite short, so I decided to post some of the pictures I took on my trip. Enjoy!
